At Pucci Foods, we’re so proud of our CEO, Chris Lam, who was named Business Person of the Year by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce.
“The City of Hayward has been the home of Pucci Foods for 12 years, and we love being here,” Lam said.
Pucci Foods has been a Bay Area seafood and meat distribution hub since 1918, and Lam has been owner since 2001. This year, Lam launched an online component,, offering next-day delivery of fresh seafood across the nation.
“At Pucci, we’re always looking at new products and innovations, and opportunities to impress our existing and new customers,” Lam said. “We’re committed to being the best online seafood market in the country.”
Another feather in his cap is the recent double-A status from the British Retail Consortium, the highest ranking awarded by the global standard food safety and quality organization.
“It’s important for Pucci to be a leader in cleanliness, quality and safety,” Lam added.
Hayward will also be celebrating the city’s distinction as an All-America City, a distinction given by the National Civic League to only 10 locales annually in the United States. That’s another reason Lam is proud Pucci calls Hayward home.
He arrived in the United States from war-torn Vietnam in 1980 with big goals. He eventually landed at Pucci Foods and was able to achieve the American Dream of owning his own business.
Lam will be honored at Hayward’s 73rd annual Awards Gala on Feb. 4, 2017.
